All our timber gate posts are kiln dried and pressure treated to offer long term protection against fungal and insect attack, including termites, for in-ground contact, and general exterior applications. All of our in-ground posts are treated to class UC4 to provide a 15 year service life. The green colour from the preservative weathers down to a natural brown and eventually to a natural silver grey. The weathering process does not indicate any loss of preservative.
