    Sheep Handling Trailer

    £8,640.00 Inc. VAT

Moving 200–300 sheep through a static yard can burn daylight, labour and fuel in equal measure. With the LM Bateman Sheep Handling Trailer you take the race to the flock (not the flock to the race) cutting travel miles, set-up time and animal stress in one stroke. Conceived as a fully self-contained workstation, the trailer carries 27 polypropylene-clad hurdles, a hydraulically-lowered race, four-way drafting gates and its own lighting board, yet tows behind any suitable 4×4 or tractor. Once on site it converts from road-legal trailer to professional handling race in minutes, letting one or two people weigh, dose, dag and draft up to 250 sheep per session with minimal fuss.

    • Four-way drafting – a two-way shedding gate at the race exit plus two mid-race drafting gates give instant 3-or-4-pen sorting.
    • Polypropylene-clad race – smooth, quiet panels discourage bruising and noise-induced balking.
    • Galvanised steel frame – hot-dip zinc coating protects against winter salt and silage acid.
    • Hydraulic hand pump – lowers the axle so the race floor rests on the ground for safe, step-free entry.
    • 27 lightweight 6-ft hurdles with skids – slide effortlessly across grass or yard; store in onboard cradles during transport.
    • Aluminium chequer-plate floor – non-slip, corrosion-proof and quick to hose.
    • Spring-loaded removable light board – road towing visibility with push-button detachment when you’re ready to work.
    • Jockey wheel and removable axle – unhitch, level and stabilise single-handedly.

    Hydraulic Cattle Crush

    £20,970.00 Inc. VAT

Standing at the very top of Bateman’s celebrated range, the Hydraulic Cattle Crush combines heavyweight construction with fingertip-responsive hydraulics, giving a single handler complete command over even the strongest stock. Every switch, valve and panel has been engineered to reduce stress, limit noise and shorten handling times, all while shielding both animal and operator from unnecessary risk. Handling cattle safely and efficiently is the heartbeat of a productive livestock enterprise, and nothing underpins that goal more than a robust, operator-friendly crush.

    • Hydraulic chin lift, yoke and side squeeze – three fast, silent operations controlled from one pivoting console.
    • 240 V low-noise power pack – plug into any standard mains supply; no separate compressor or PTO needed.
    • Full-length side access – both flanks swing clear for clipping, injection or pregnancy diagnosis.
    • Twin TB doors – quick neck access for statutory testing without releasing the head.
    • Rear hydraulic sliding gate – forward-facing operation keeps the handler out of kick range while loading.
    • Dedicated chin-scoop panel – fine-tune head height with millimetre accuracy.
    • Nylon backing bar system – two preset heights stop cattle reversing yet retract silently when not required.
    • Access kiosk with split gates – stand safely behind self-locking doors while tagging or dosing.
    • Fork-lift brackets – integral skids let you reposition or load the crush with pallet tines in seconds.
    • Chin scoop supplied as standard – no hidden extras required for routine mouth work.

Optional load bars can be bolted underneath the main chassis for instant weight capture; foot-trimming kit is intentionally not offered, as the unit’s strength and rubber floor make it more suited to general veterinary, AI and handling duties than stand-alone hoof care.
