Moving 200–300 sheep through a static yard can burn daylight, labour and fuel in equal measure. With the LM Bateman Sheep Handling Trailer you take the race to the flock (not the flock to the race) cutting travel miles, set-up time and animal stress in one stroke. Conceived as a fully self-contained workstation, the trailer carries 27 polypropylene-clad hurdles, a hydraulically-lowered race, four-way drafting gates and its own lighting board, yet tows behind any suitable 4×4 or tractor. Once on site it converts from road-legal trailer to professional handling race in minutes, letting one or two people weigh, dose, dag and draft up to 250 sheep per session with minimal fuss.

The LM Bateman Ambassador Squeeze has been a standout in the Bateman line-up since its launch in 2013, consistently ranking as the brand’s best-selling cattle crush. Its appeal is simple: a uniquely effective squeeze mechanism that locks positively at any point, paired with a manually operated head yoke and comprehensive access around the animal. The result is confident restraint across an exceptional range of body sizes—from approximately 50 kg right up to mature bulls—delivered through a robust frame and thoughtful safety features. Internal cladding in 6 mm polypropylene, rubber flooring laid over anti-slip bars, and other noise-dampening details help keep operation quiet and sure-footed. Day-to-day handling is supported by full-access side doors, a rear sliding door, TB access doors, and a slide-in rump bar with non-return teeth. Forklift brackets are built in as standard for easy positioning; load bars can be added as an option; and a chin scoop is available where head support is required. All of this arrives in a compact footprint, with dimensions suited to most race layouts.

The LM Bateman Devon Squeeze takes the proven Ambassador Squeeze format and integrates an automatic head yoke, creating a crush that captures consistently and lets the operator focus on the job in hand. It retains the same always-locked squeeze mechanism (a design that holds the sides exactly where you set them) while adding a smooth, spring-assisted yoke reset so the gate is ready for the next animal with minimal input. Internal surfaces are clad with 6 mm polypropylene for durability and reduced contact noise, and the floor combines anti-slip bars with a rubber mat to promote secure footing and quieter operation. Access has been engineered throughout: spring-loaded full-height side doors, TB access doors, a rear sliding door, and a removable side bar give clear reach to the neck and body as required. The Devon Squeeze is specified to handle cattle from approximately 50 kg up to large bulls, with a squeeze range from 750 mm down to 300 mm and an automatic yoke that offers six width settings.

Standing at the very top of Bateman’s celebrated range, the Hydraulic Cattle Crush combines heavyweight construction with fingertip-responsive hydraulics, giving a single handler complete command over even the strongest stock. Every switch, valve and panel has been engineered to reduce stress, limit noise and shorten handling times, all while shielding both animal and operator from unnecessary risk. Handling cattle safely and efficiently is the heartbeat of a productive livestock enterprise, and nothing underpins that goal more than a robust, operator-friendly crush.
Optional load bars can be bolted underneath the main chassis for instant weight capture; foot-trimming kit is intentionally not offered, as the unit’s strength and rubber floor make it more suited to general veterinary, AI and handling duties than stand-alone hoof care.
